MARGARITA SPA PEDICURE

Enjoy an authentic margarita while our technician soaks your feet with lime essential oils and floating lime slices. Your feet are dried, your nails and cuticles cared for and the lime slices are blended with sugar to soften your heels. A mix of Epson salt, massage oil, orange or lime essential oil and the zest of one lime is applied to the feet and lower legs for a stimulating exfoliation. After a cool-water-rinse, you will receive a foot and leg massage with lime-scented massage oils. Finally, polish by OPI is applied in a color that suits the season. MARGARITA BODY SCRUB

A great way to repair summer's sun damaged skin, the Margarita Body Scrub is a total body cleansing treatment that removes dry damaged skin cells and leaves skin soft and smooth. A FACIAL FOR YOUR FEET

One of the quickest and easiest ways to get your feet looking and feeling fresh and fabulous is with a medical pedicure. This specialized treatment target uncomfortable common skin conditions like corns, calluses, ingrown toenails and fungus. Unlike a traditional pedicure, which just shapes the nails and uses a pumice stone to soften feet, a medical pedicure starts with acid peel or manual exfoliation to slough away dry skin. Also, if your nail is extra thick we use special treatment to soften and thin the nail to an appropriate size.

WHAT CAUSES BREAKOUT ON MY HAIR LINE?

Pimples, whiteheads and blackheads on the forehead, at the hairline are common especially in summer time. Heavy perspiration increases oil production and hair products aggravate this condition. Polymers and plant oils clog pores, often the larger pores in the chin and nose areas.

· Plant oils, such as aloe, vitamin E, coconut oil, and even baby oil should be avoided

· PVP, CVP, and any copolymer ingredients in conditioners, hair spray, and hair gels, can block pores and cause breakout.

SOLUTION # 1

Avoid products that contain above ingredients.

Avoid headbands, baseball caps, football helmets and other headgear.

Keep your hair away from your face.

SPF AWARENES

Encouraging sun protection in this time of year is very important for anyone. Avoiding sun exposure is impossible for most because of outdoor occupations and lifestyles.

Here are some guidelines regarding sun protection measures.

• Depending on latitude and climate, sunscreens may be needed year round, including on cloudy days, when up to 80% of UV rays may still reach the earths surface.
  
  
• Sunscreens are most important from 10AM to 4 PM when the sun's rays are strongest. If possible, try to avoid sun exposure during these peak hours.
  
  
• For regular daily use, an SPF 15 to 30 is sufficient. For prolonged recreational exposures, an SPF 30 up is more desirable, particularly for fair-skinned people.
  

• Sunscreen should be applied 15 to 30 minutes before go out to allow sufficient time for the protective film develop.
  


• Sunscreen should be reapplied after prolonged swimming or vigorous activity. If swimming or perspiring heavily, a water-resistant or water-proof should be used.
  


• Sunscreen needs to be applied liberally. Up to 1 oz (about 30g) of the product may be needed to cover the whole body. Remember to apply to all areas of the scalp with thin hair.
  


• Clothing is an excellent form of sun protection provided it is tightly woven. Check by seeing if light comes through when held up to visible light. Otherwise, sunscreen may be needed under clothing or hats. A 4-inch wide, broad brimmed hat is required to cover the entire face and neck.

Here are some additional tips for special groups:

• Some people require more details. For example, people with light eruptions, or taking medications that cause sensitivity with the sun, or melasma,(pregnancy mask) or freckles. This group benefits from high SPF products that contain avobenzone (Parsol1789), titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide.
  


• People with sensitive skin and those with sunscreen intolerance should use sunscreen with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as the only active ingredient that provides a suitable alternative, regardless of the sunscreen intolerance.
  


• Acne Prone individuals with oily complexions may prefer an oil-free, alcohol based gel or a lighter sunscreen moisturizer. Even an oil-free product could feel somewhat oily because the active sunscreen ingredients are themselves oils.
  


• "Waterproof"- under the new FDA monograph means the highest nomenclature is "very water resistant" and is designed for recreational, occupational, all day exposure.
  

Options/Choices

• Daily use moisturizer: For casual exposure, lighter feel on application under makeup aftershave.
  


• Full spectrum contain avobenzone (Parsol 1789) : For drug photosensitivity photodermatoses, dyspigmentations.
  


• Dry lotion: Avoid eye stinging, less heavy application
  


• Inorganic particulate (physical)also called "nonchemical": (Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide) for very sensitive skin
  


• Oil-free gel: Oily skin type , acne prone and thin hair.
  


• Oil-free lotion: Oily skin type, less heavy feel , and acne prone
  


• Spray : Ease of application, thinhair
  


• Stick: lips, eye area
  


• Foundation makeup: Daily use Convenience
